Feeling your way into sirsasana - aka the 'King of Asana'
In this fun and interactive workshop, I'll teach you my favourite ways to physically and mentally prepare for headstand, and how to enter the posture safely, in a way that's appropriate for your own body.
I'll show you the core strengthening techniques and preparatory postures that help to make safe entry to sirsasana more accessible. We'll explore different variations on this key inversion, looking at anatomy, alignment and benefits as we go.
If you're an headstand novice, you will pick up the skills and techniques you need to start going upside down. If you're already confident going upside down but need a few pointers on alignment, coordination and building strength - or even if you just want to revisit the fundamentals - feel free to join us!
